The Argentine Republic supports the commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development beyond government efforts.
In the previous years, Argentina consolidated the national "Inter-institutional Commission" for implementing and monitoring the SDGs, coordinated by the National Council for Coordination of Social Policy, as a cross-sectional area to build consensus and produce inputs for the implementation and monitoring in the Executive Authority field. From this area, the necessary elements were produced for the matrix of monitoring and analyzing progress, which includes indicators, public policy interventions and budget investments linked to the 17 SDGs adopted by the country. These indicators were included both in the Government's management dashboard and in the messages of the 2018 and 2019 budgets. This Commission was the privileged workplace with other governmental and non-governmental actors as well as other levels of authorities in order to raise awareness, disseminate, train and act to accelerate progress towards the goals.
